About Morrow Creek Dentistry

A general practice built around the phone call that cannot wait.

Morrow Creek opened in 2014 on Hartwell Street in Boise. Dr. Tessa Lindqvist started it after too many patients told her they had waited three days with a broken tooth because nobody had room. The fix was simple: hold the room. Two same-day slots every weekday, ever since. (208) 555-0142.

The practice

One building, nine people, a creek at the end of the street.

The office is a single-storey building with a glass front, three treatment rooms and a small waiting area. The creek that gave the practice its name runs behind the car park, and on a quiet morning you can hear it through the back door.

We are a general practice. That means check-ups, cleanings, fillings, crowns and the emergency visits in between. We do not claim a dental specialty, and when a problem needs one, such as a root canal on a back tooth or a complicated extraction, we say so and help you get to the right office.

Our rules are short. Hold the same-day slots. Say the plan and the cost in writing before treatment. Keep the same people in the room.

Founding dentist

Tessa grew up in the Treasure Valley and opened Morrow Creek in 2014 after dental school at the University of Washington. She wanted a practice where a broken tooth got a same-day answer. She still takes most of the emergency slots herself.

  • Opened Morrow Creek in 2014
  • Takes most same-day emergency visits

Priya Nandakumar, RDH

Dental hygienist

Priya has cleaned teeth in Boise for eleven years and sees most new patients for their first cleaning. She is also the person who spots the crack or the cavity before it becomes a Tuesday-night emergency.

  • Eleven years in Boise practices
  • Sees most new patient cleanings
  • Checks for cracks and early decay

The front desk is run by Dale Whitcomb, who has answered the phone at Morrow Creek since the second year. Dale decides who gets the held slots and makes the call back, and he has never once said "we are booked" without also saying what to do next.

How the practice works

What we promise, and what we do not.

  • We hold two same-day slots every weekday for people who call by 3:30 pm, and Saturday mornings from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm are for emergencies only.
  • We call back within 15 minutes of a form request during office hours. Outside hours, we call when we open.
  • We put the estimate in writing before treatment, with what we recommend and why.
  • We do not run an overnight line. For severe bleeding, a swollen face or throat, trouble breathing or a head injury, call 911.
  • We work with most major PPO plans and offer third-party financing for larger treatment.
